Battery operated lamps were at CVS

I found these miniature architecture lamps at CVS - "House to Home Smart Book Light". I dissuaded mini2b from buying a similar one at the Good Sam Showcase of Miniatures, only for her to find out these flew off the shelves. She went to 3 CVS stores and they were sold out, but a manager said they might sell them again during the holidays since they were so popular. So sorry mini2b!!!

They come in a variety of colors. They are about 4" tall. The yellow lamp is in a 1:12 scale setting. The green is in a 1:24 scale room. They are a little too small for 1:12 and too big for 1:24, but they only cost 2 for $5, so I'm trying to find a way to make them work.

The neck and the middle joint flex but the base does not. Pictured is the range of motion you can get out of them. If you happen to see these for sale at CVS again, please let me know. :)

  1. I actually bought some from the Dollar Tree. Check there first before going back to CVS! You could probably buy them from online still cheaper than CVS if you don't have one near you.

  2. That's an excellent price!
And you've reminded me: I painted one of mine copper the other day and haven't blogged about it yet...

  3. Our local Waterstone's sell these. In fact a lot of book stores have them along with the lights that clip to books while you read. I bet they would look pretty cool wall mounted too =0)

  6. I bought some at Dollar Tree too. Black, red and white. The ones form there are too big for 1/12 scale. Probably perfect for 1/6.

  9. No problem at all; I purchased a few from eBay (found the colors I wanted) which were more than CVS but less than at Good Sam. Of course, I have done nothing with them and have no specific plans where to use them; they were just cute minis!
